Banning PD News October 2009
New Banning Police Department Facility... We are getting excited. Construction is going great and we are right on time. If you haven't had a chance to see our new facility, go by. We are really proud of our new building. We are looking forward to moving in and being able to serve our community with many state of the art upgrades. More to follow as we get closer to our opening date.......stay tuned! New Website Feature.... We have added a new feature to our website. It is a link on the left hand column called 30 Day CrimeReport Maps. Click on this link and see what is happening in your neighborhood. Get email alerts when a crime has been committed in areas you select. We are excited to bring this tool to our community to keep you informed. Let us know what you think. On October 7th 2009, Investigators from Banning PD participated in a regional probation/parole sweep that resulted in 4 arrests.... you can read more on this story on page 10 of our October 2009 Monthly Report. Those G.R.E.A.T./ B.P.A.L Kids Are Going Again... School has just started and the kids in our schools and community are getting involved. The B.P.A.L kids have recently gone to a Clipper Game where they were treated to a VIP experience. Thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for hosting a Safe Halloween this year on the grass area near City Hall. See the pictures on page 15 of our October Monthly Report. We are very proud of our G.R.E.A.T / B.P.A.L.kids.... The kids in our programs are consistently showing up in the Record Gazette. We are proud of the community service they are learning and we are proud of the great grades they are getting especially at Coombs Middle School....Not only are their academic grades showing large improvements, their Life Skills are also improving. We are so proud to be a part of their G.R.E.A.T. lives.....!!! Thank you to the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.... Through a Special Distribution Fund Grant Banning Pd was able to purchase 2 new Honda ST1300 Motorcycles. Thank you.
