Banning PD News February 2013
100 Year Celebration & Plaque Ceremony.... On February 6th the Banning Police Department held the 100 Year Celebration & Plaque Ceremony at the Banning Police Station. The department conducted a uniform inspection and took a department photo in recognition of the City of Banning's official incorporation. 2 of our Finest Honored.... The California Office of Traffic Safety alone with Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Riverside County AVOID coalition hosted the 2013 Law Enforcement Recognition and DUI Training Seminar. Both Officer Mike Bennett and Officer Matt Friesen were recognized for their efforts in arresting persons suspected of driving under the influence. Citizen Volunteer Program... Our volunteers logged 210 hours of service to our community in various aspects of assisting our officers. The volunteers assist at the front desk, maintain our department's alcohol screening devices and assist at Carols Kitchen...thank you Volunteers for your help and amazing service!
